OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT is the main coordinator of all the Company’s departments and in very close cooperation with AS&T coordinates all the arrangements with third parties (Charterers, Shipper & Receivers of cargo, Ship Agents, Ship-Chandlers, Bunkering Supplies, Stevedores, Port Authorities etc) in order to fulfill the chartering obligations of the vessels under management.

TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT is responsible for the continuous maintenance and solid performance of all the vessels under management, at the optimal operating cost. Among other things this department is engaged in: Routine maintenance, repairs, marine superintendence, New-building supervision, identification-negotiation & attendance of dry docking, and implementation of ISM/ISPS codes. Our Technical department is staffed by Marine & Mechanical Engineers, Naval Architects as well as Superintended Engineers.

CREW DEPARTMENT is responsible for the crewing of the vessels under our Management with Greek Officers as well as Philipino Officers and Seafarers. We provide high quality Crew Management services through our exclusive Agent SUNRISE MANNING AGENCY in Manila Philippines. SMA directly recruits, selects and continuously trains competent Seafarers of all ranks that will be exclusively employed at the vessels under HELLENIC STAR’s & BLUE LINE’s Management.

CLAIMS & INSURANCE DEPARTMENT is responsible for managing claims (casualties, disputes, cargo, H&M, crew, etc.), renewals of insurances (P&I, FD&D, H&M, War Risk, K&R, crew etc.), collection of hire/freight, preparation of documentation relevant to Loan Agreements, MOAs, corporate documents, etc. and any other legal and insurance matters.

SUPPLY DEPARTMENT This department is responsible for various supplies such as provisions and consumable stores in order to ensure vessels’ smooth operations. In addition to the above this departments is responsible for finding reliable suppliers and signing contracts for the supply of Bunkers, Lubricants, Paints, Chemicals etc.

SAFETY& QUALITY DEPARTMENT is responsible for the implementation of ISM & ISPS Codes and promotes Safety & Quality in all Company activities. The Company is committed to conducting all activities for which it is responsible in a safe, efficient and environmentally sound manner that constantly meets customer’s expectations while ensuring effective and efficient compliance with prevailing statutory and regulatory requirements.
